Visiting 26 shops in five days is a challenge. You’ll need to recoup somewhere. Why not in Port Townsend? On our deck, or your own deck in a room above our shop at the Waterstreet Hotel.
The hotel is offering a discount to LYS tour participants, and Joe Euro at Wine Sellers is offering a 10% discount on wine and beer to fibre fanatics as well. You’ll want to reserve a room early. May is the kickoff for our busiest season.
Map out the rest of your tour while sipping chardonnay or eating ice cream, as you watch the boats sail by. Or end here on Sunday, and recreate one of those movie scenes were instead of rolling around in a bed of cash after a heist, you roll around in a four poster bed strewn with new yarn!
If like me, high school marching bands make you well up with warm emotions, plan to spend Saturday in Port Townsend and take in the parade (Sat. at 1pm) for the 80th annual Rhododendron Festival. If this is your choice be prepared to park several blocks away. Port Townsend will be at its festive best, but to beat the crowds you may want to leave Saturday Morning, or arrive Saturday evening to our Victorian seaport town.
Finding our shop is easy whether you are driving or taking a ferry. We are located right downtown, just off of Water St, along the waterfront.
