The first Puget Sound Local Yarn Shop (LYS) Tour, possibly the first yarn crawl in North America, was founded by a couple of yarn shop owners who liked to party (looking at you, Victoria). Back in 2006, there were 12 shops. Many of those are still on the tour.
It began as a long, three-day weekend. Then it expanded to four days, and now it is five full days with 26 shops located in the central and north Puget Sound areas.
Each year, the participating shops gather and work together to plan a fabulous tour with prizes, free patterns, and discounts. Our goal is to help our customers learn, grow, and become successful in the art and craft we all love. That’s the principle that’s been driving the LYS Tour all these years. That, and we all like to party. Join us!
